Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.

The manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not currently under consideration by another journal.

The manuscript is relevant to the Focus and Scope of Datokarama English Education Journal, particularly English Language Education or English Applied Linguistics.
-
The manuscript follows the official DEEJournal Manuscript Template. Submissions that do not follow the template may be declined during the initial editorial screening stage.

The submission file is in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
-
The manuscript is written in English, using either British or American spelling consistently.
-
The manuscript length is 5,000–7,000 words, excluding references and appendices.
-
The title is clear, specific, descriptive, and does not exceed 15 words.
-
The abstract consists of 150–200 words, is written in a single paragraph, and contains no citations or undefined abbreviations.
-
The manuscript includes 3–5 keywords, separated by semicolons.
-
The manuscript includes all required sections: Title, Author Information, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Author Contribution Statement, AI Disclosure Statement, Competing Interests Statement, and References.

All author information is complete, including author names, active email addresses, affiliations, and clear identification of the corresponding author.

The manuscript uses Garamond 12 pt, single spacing, one-column layout, B5 JIS paper size, justified alignment, and first-line paragraph indentation.

Tables and figures are numbered consecutively, clearly presented, cited in the text, and placed close to the relevant discussion.

Tables use titles above the table and avoid vertical lines. Figures use captions below the figure and are provided in clear, readable quality.

Citations and references follow APA 7th Edition style consistently.

The authors have used Mendeley Reference Manager for citation and reference management.

The reference list contains at least 20 references, with at least 80% from scholarly journal articles and at least 30% published within the last five years.

All in-text citations appear in the reference list, and all references are cited in the manuscript.

Where available, DOI or URL information has been provided for references.

If the study involves human participants, the manuscript includes information on informed consent, confidentiality or anonymity, and ethical approval where applicable.

The manuscript includes an Author Contribution Statement using author initials only.
-
The manuscript includes an AI Disclosure Statement, whether AI-assisted tools were used or not.
-
The manuscript includes a Competing Interests Statement.
-
The authors confirm that all sources are properly acknowledged and that the manuscript does not contain plagiarism or unacceptable similarity.

All authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript.

The corresponding author confirms responsibility for all communication with the journal through the OJS platform.

- As long as:
- Proper attribution is given to the original author(s) and the journal
- The use is non-commercial
- Any changes made are clearly indicated
Author’s Warranties
By submitting a manuscript, the author confirms that:
- The work is original and has not been previously published elsewhere
- The article contains no unlawful statements or infringements of third-party rights
- All co-authors have approved the final version and consent to its submission
- All necessary permissions for reused content have been obtained
In the case of co-authorship, the corresponding author is authorized to act on behalf of all contributors.
User Rights
Under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, users may:
- Read, download, copy, distribute, print, and link to the articles
- Use the work for non-commercial scholarly purposes
- Provide appropriate credit and indicate if changes were made
Royalties and Fees
Deejournal does not charge article processing or submission fees. Authors waive any right to financial compensation or royalties for the use of their work by the journal or its authorized users.
Termination Clause
Either party may terminate this agreement with two months’ notice in the event of a material breach not remedied within 30 days. Termination does not affect prior grants or existing publications.
Editorial Rights
Deejournal reserves the right to make minor stylistic and formatting edits to conform to house style. Authors will be consulted for any substantial editorial changes. All published articles are openly accessible to the public without restriction.
Privacy Statement
The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
